Adaptive and regenerative in approach, the renovation preserves existing building structure while weaving new life into each level to expand outlook over the marina to create a private resort.
Commencing as a modest terrace upgrade, and flourishing into a four-year endeavour, the three-level townhouse renovation presents as a renewed façade, revised internal planning and inclusion of a welcoming poolside retreat overlooking the marina and coast beyond. Existing structure and forms were interrogated for repurposing and reuse to ensure the most considered approach to new works. This extended to materials and finishes, selected to speak to the location, relaxed and light with natural, textural elements throughout, combined to create a calm and inviting interior.
A highly collaborative process between architects, interior designers, builders, engineers, and craftspeople, all parties came together to produce a home that seamlessly integrates with its coastal surroundings, providing a sanctuary of tranquillity and sophistication.
